About

I was born and raised in the southern United States, Florida to be exact.  I had a tough time in school mainly because I made it that way.  I graduated high school and decided to hit the work force instead of continuing my education.  I guess I thought it would be better to be paid to get an education rather than paying someone to give it to me.  In 1991, I joined the Army and soon found myself training at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.  So far, this would be the furthest West I had ever been.  After two years in a support unit attached to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, I was handed orders to Naval Station, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  I was stunned, and moving West yet again.  As soon as my feet hit the ground I knew my life would never be the same.  After three years, I re-enlisted in the Army on the deck of the USS Missouri (a big Navy battle ship) underneath her 14 inch guns.  Not too many soldiers can say that.  In August of 2001 I was honorably discharged from the Army and decided to stay in Hawaii for a while. During my time in Hawaii,  I found myself working some odd jobs and doing some extra work in movies and television shows like “Baywatch Hawaii” as well as the feature films “Pearl Harbor” and “Windtalkers”.  That creative environment lit a spark in me and that is when I began to write my first book “My Aumakua”.  After a year or so of struggling to find more of that type of work, I made a very tough decision to leave Hawaii.  After a few years and the fight up the corporate ladder, I have found myself on a comfortable rung.  The thing is, being comfortable is not my style.  I live for the chase, the game, the push, the sweat and the prize.  In between work and life I am still writing.  The next novel, and its screenplay, to be released is “Scraping Bottom” along with a screenplay for “My Aumakua”.  Everything in life is an opportunity and I plan to make the most of every piece of time I have left on this big, beautiful blue planet. #MyAumakua #ScrapingBottom #CantSellCanSell #MakeMyBookAMovie #ScreenplayAvailable #IHaveIdeas #Fresh #SouthernHaole

Great analogy! Barbara Corcoran (Shark Tank, real estate mogul) is being ridiculed for saying she used her best asset – her legs – to make it in a cutthroat business. Everyone she worked with was equally qualified – so she hiked up her skirt and went to work. Great story….success is out there – grab it!
